Mayaan Licht & Kammerorchester Basel

Winner of the OPER! Award for Best Newcomer 2025, Maayan Licht is one of the most exciting young artists on the international opera scene. The Israeli sopranist is renowned for his extraordinary vocal range and brilliant coloratura technique. Recent engagements include appearances at Dutch National Opera, Theater an der Wien and with Les Arts Florissants. In the 2026/27 season, he will also make his debut at Bern Opera.

Together with the Kammerorchester Basel, Maayan Licht presents “Sopranista Fireworks”, a virtuoso Baroque programme featuring works by Vivaldi, Handel, Purcell, Porpora, Broschi and Giacomelli.

Programme change: Due to an acute throat infection, Julia Lezhneva unfortunately had to withdraw at short notice from her originally scheduled concert. Maayan Licht will take over the evening with a new programme. All tickets already purchased remain valid.
