Sustainability in Printing and Distribution
The Menuhin Festival Gstaad places great importance on the responsible use of resources – from paper selection and printing to the distribution of its printed materials
Paper
For the programme book and other printed materials, we use G-Print paper. This paper is certified according to recognised environmental standards, including FSC® and PEFC™ for sustainable forest management, as well as Cradle to Cradle Certified® to promote circular material use.
It also complies with international environmental management standards such as ISO 14001 and is produced in accordance with the Nordic Ecolabel. This allows us to combine environmental responsibility with high-quality print and readability.
Recyclability is another key aspect: G-Print is a high-quality, woodfree paper that can be easily recycled through standard paper recycling systems. Its coating does not interfere with the recycling process.
Climate Protection in Printing
For key printed products such as the 2026 programme book, CO₂ emissions from offset printing are offset.
This compensation is carried out through the climate protection project of the Oberallmeindkorporation Schwyz (OAK), which supports concrete forest and climate protection measures in Switzerland.
A total of 9,476 kg of CO₂ were offset for the 2026 programme book.
CO₂ emissions are also recorded and, where possible, offset for other productions. These measures are voluntary and project-based.
Distribution and Packaging
We also aim to minimise resource use in distribution. The packaging film used to ship the programme books is recyclable and can be disposed of separately in accordance with local recycling guidelines. We continuously review our shipping materials and seek further improvements.
Recycling
Both paper and packaging can be returned to existing recycling systems:
- The programme book should be disposed of with paper recycling
- The packaging film can be recycled separately
Please separate materials accordingly before disposal.
Our Commitment
We see sustainability as an ongoing process. Together with our partners, we continuously work to further improve our printing and distribution processes – with the aim of combining environmental responsibility with the highest quality standards.
