Categories
To clearly structure the diverse programme of the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, all events are assigned to clearly defined categories. They provide orientation and facilitate navigation through the entire festival offering.
CHAMBER MUSIC
Intimate encounters in small ensembles – from duo to octet. These concerts form a core element of the festival tradition and stand for musical closeness and a special atmosphere.
OPERA
Concert performances of operas with renowned singers and orchestras.
ORCHESTRA
Symphonic programmes by leading international orchestras and the Gstaad Festival Orchestra under the direction of Jaap van Zweden, as well as other guest conductors. Monumental sound worlds in churches and in the Festival Tent Gstaad.
RECITAL
Solo and chamber music recitals in churches throughout the region. The focus is on individual artistic profiles – from young Next Generation talents to internationally renowned master artists.
DISCOVERY
Interactive concerts, workshops, and exciting behind-the-scenes insights for all generations. Discovery invites audiences to explore, listen, and participate – joyfully opening the doors to the world of music.
THE SUMMIT
Under the title “The Summit,” a forum is created for future-oriented questions surrounding music, culture, and society. Panels, discussions, and selected concert formats presented by leading figures from music, culture, and public life.
FILM
Documentary and music films at the Ciné-Theatre Gstaad. The new film series is dedicated to Yehudi Menuhin and other influential musical personalities, offering inspiring insights into the lives of renowned artists connected to the festival.
